  • Are there any takers for the announcement two down from here... any at all? If so, please tell Meneta or Kathy that you're interested!!!
  • Hurrah! The Pax's Pictures Gallery page has been fixed! Now all of the pictures from the Augusta Convocation Stop Hunger Now Event, the Food Bank shopping, the Chili Dinner, and the Bulb Planting and Blessing are all up! Go check 'em out!
  • When Meneta contacted the Episcopalians for Global Reconciliation (EGR), we learned that the MDG symbols are owned by the United Nations, and aren't to be marketed, and they probably would be on paraphernalia that would be sold. However, he did have a request for us: 
"I would LOVE it if one of your young people could write a 500-700 word article on what the PAX group has done and, more important, how they have changed and grown as people and disciples of Christ because of it. We love stories of transformation ... and I want to share yours. We have an e-newsletter that goes out every other week to about 5,000 people across the church and I'd love to include such an article from you!"
If someone wants to volunteer, that would be great!  I think we could do this as a joint effort as well.  He did not give us a time limit, so be thinking about how your experiences in PAX, at Emmanuel, and in life have caused change growth in you, spiritually and otherwise.

What we've done:

January 6, 2009: We served dinner at the Outreach Colonial Dinner, and even received a few donations!

February 8, 2009:We hosted Second Sunday Soup, and held a cook-off! Congrats to the winners! We also presented a $1,000 check to SACRA as part of our Lotz of Love goal!

February 10, 2009: Served Friendship Club dinner

 February 24, 2009 - Prepared and served a Pancake Dinner for Shrove Tuesday.
