A U2charist is a form of the Eucharist featuring music from the band U2, rather than traditional church hymns, to raise awareness of the MDGs. For more information on U2charists, click here, or here for our U2charist from 2008 Council.
Our U2charist was small-scale (especially compared to the U2charist from Council), and was casual - shorts and flip-flops (Episcopal flip-flops are still available!!).
We did a Hot Dog and Hamburger picnicky meal before the service, starting at 5 PM. We met at 10 AM that day to prepare the food, and worked through the 11 AM service to finish. Proceeds from the offering went to the Stop Hunger Now Event.
